hi,

if AmigaAMP is playing back 44100Hz CD audio (AIFF/WAV) at
0dB volume, and
if I use digital output from arpeggiator or another soundboard,
will the samples output to SPDIF connector be the same as in the original files, or are they changed due to AmigaAMP/AHI volume processing?

what AHI modes support 1:1 playback?

AmigaAMP doesn't change the signal at all but sends it straight to AHI.

However, AHI always can do with it what it wants. For CD audio you should set the AHI prefs to 44100 Hz, 1 channel. Usually AHI detects that no further processing (resampling, volume) is nessecary and sends the data unchanged to the driver. But you can never be 100% sure. The mode should be 16 bit stereo++ if possible.

To ensure 100% unchanged audio data I recommend using the Tapedeck application in case you're using the Prelude/Arpeggiator. This tool doesn't use AHI but accesses the prelude.library driver directly.
