Hi!
Thanks for the recent updates of AmigaAmp, this great MP3 player for the Amiga!!
I have some questions:
1. Could you please fix AmigaAMP so that it can read the newer types of ID3 tags, like v2 and up ??
2. The "info" button in the list window hasn't been implemented yet, could this be fixed??
3. Could you also make AmigaAMP show MP3 file info, even if the file is only marked and not active??
4. And also implement "prev." and "next" in the ID3 tag window, so that one can quickly walk trough all the MP3 that one has. So one don't have to select "info" for every MP3 file, since that is a pain in the rear |

Hi!
Glad to hear that you like AmigaAMP
| Zitat: | | 1. Could you please fix AmigaAMP so that it can read the newer types of ID3 tags, like v2 and up ?? |
Sorry, not planned at the moment. The ID3V2 format is so badly designed that there's no automatic backward compatibility. That means with each new revision that comes up everyone has to update his code to be able to read it at all. I don't like this policy so I don't support it any more.
| Zitat: | | 2. The "info" button in the list window hasn't been implemented yet, could this be fixed?? |
Yep! That will be fixed in v2.12.
| Zitat: | | 3. Could you also make AmigaAMP show MP3 file info, even if the file is only marked and not active?? |
Sorry, not planned at the moment. Currently the philosophy is that the file info being shown always refers to the active (i.e. opened) file.
| Zitat: | | 4. And also implement "prev." and "next" in the ID3 tag window, so that one can quickly walk trough all the MP3 that one has. So one don't have to select "info" for every MP3 file, since that is a pain in the rear |
While the ID3 window is open you can still click the 'previous' and 'next' buttons in the main AmigaAMP window. No need to close the ID3 window inbetween and open it again selecting 'info'. By the way, double clicking on the Title/Artist info bar in the main window opens the ID3 window as well.
Thanks for your input. I hope you're not too disappointed

1. That's OK, found a program that could copy id3 v2 tags to id3 v1 on multiple files.
2. Great!
3. OK
4. Thanks for the tip!
Naah, I'm just glad that you are continuing development of this fine audioplayer!!
By the way, any plans for updating the docs?? Right now it doesn't seem up-to-date... |

Hi!
Yes I've found out that the docs are outdated and mostly refer to the old preferences window which doesn't exist any more.
I'm currently rewriting them but I'm probably not finished until the v2.12 release.
So v2.12 will probably come with unfinished docs but I hope they'll be ready by the time I release 2.13 :)
